VITAC, the largest captioning provider in the United States, is thrilled to be a sponsor of next month’s National Association of the Deaf’s (NAD) 54th Biennial Conference.
The conference, which will be held July 3-7 at the Hartford Marriott Hotel and the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT, features professional development, training, and networking opportunities for members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHOH) community as well as governance meetings, receptions, and events.
Organizers anticipate the conference will attract more than 2,000 attendees, including DHOH community and family members, students, corporate representatives, deaf services professionals and groups, educators, and interpreters, among others.
NAD is the nation’s premier civil rights organization of, by, and for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in the US. The group works to ensure that the needs and concerns of the nation’s DHOH community are well represented on the federal level through collaborative and cross-disability efforts with consumer and professional organizations.
For more than 30 years, VITAC has worked with caption viewers and advocacy groups, and we are proud of — and benefit greatly from — our strong advocate relationships, including those with the National Association of the Deaf, Hearing Loss Association of America, and Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
We strongly believe in “Accessibility for Life” as we strive to make accessible content standard, and stand by our commitment to provide captions and accessible solutions for our customers, while, perhaps most importantly, maintaining the highest quality for our consumers, the tens of millions of Americans who rely on captioning every day.
