VITAC and Creative Television Marketing provide a no-cost solution as 2006 the closed captioning mandate nears

February 16, 2005 - Burbank, CA: VITAC, the nation's top closed captioning provider, has joined forces with Creative Television Marketing, the leader in broadcast Closed Captioning Sponsorships. This partnership will provide the potential for a unique turnkey program that produces a no-cost solution to the impending FCC regulations, which require virtually all programming in the United States to be closed captioned by 2006.

As the FCC's final captioning benchmarks go into effect by January 1, 2006, most program providers will be required to significantly increase their captioning services and therefore their costs. In addition, many of the Department of Education's grants for captioning will no longer be offered. These changes will create a tremendous increase in below-the-line costs, which can be offset by the unique opportunity provided by VITAC and Creative Television Marketing.

The joint venture will increase the availability of Reciprocal Trade Agreements (RTAs) to selected and qualified broadcast and cable networks, as well as program producers. These RTAs, available only in this unique partnership, provide the advantage of trading short, non-competitive, advertising time in exchange for guaranteed no-cost captioning services. Sponsorships include 13 seconds of program content that contain a 10-seond spot, creating an efficient no-cost solution that fulfills the needs of both the program provider and the advertiser.

VITAC and Creative Television Marketing have over six years experience providing RTAs in conjunction with a major cable news network. Their joint affiliation has allowed them to successfully provide captioning with 100% cost offset for broadcasters and program producers. With their enormous success, VITAC and Creative Television marketing have decided to pursue qualified broadcasters and producers to help them offset closed captioning costs created by the pending mandate
