Dina Smith
Director, Prerecorded Operations

Dina Smith, Director of Prerecorded Operations, has been with VITAC since 1990. She joined our team as one of VITAC’s first Off-line captioners and now oversees approximately 60 Off-line captioners in both Los Angeles and our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. This department produces more than 300 hours of pre-recorded programming, including captioning and subtitling, per week. She holds a B.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology, with a minor in American Sign Language, and an M.A. in Deaf Education, both from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dina loves spending time with her husband, two young children, and her Chocolate Lab, Divot. When not taking Divot to the park or watching “The Dog Whisperer,” she and her family can be found playing “Wii Sports” or “Mario Kart.”
